Web design process
1 Project definition
Before I start working on the project we have to define your specific needs. The more information I have, the more accurate help I can offer to you.
To help me gather all the necessary information, please take a few minutes to fill out this Website Planning Worksheet and send it back to me.
After I become familiar with your requirements, I will prepare total project estimate and the list of necessary materials you should provide. Once we reach an agreement, deposit of 33% of overall project cost must be made.
2 Design
I will provide you with up to 3 different proposals of your website layout. I will use stock photography and sample text. After we discuss the design I will imply any required modifications. Once I get your approval to continue and another deposit of 33% is made, we will move on to the next step.
3 Development
At this point you should provide me with all necessary materials you initially agreed on providing. These would include any graphics, photos, text and other content you would like me to use on your website.
You will receive a link to the sample working page. After your approval I will begin coding the entire site.
The remaining balance is due before your website is published.
You can choose to upload the files to your server yourself or provide me with necessary passwords and have me do that. Once I'm done working on your server, you may wish to change your passwords to protect your privacy.
4 Warranty
The 30 day warranty covers any corrections or modifications to pages or coding that are within the scope of the original project. Major alterations, new pages or additional functions will be billed as new project work.
After the 30 day warranty expires the costs vary according to the complexity level of the requested changes. Modifications can be billed on an hourly basis or as a set fee depending on the nature of the work. Regularly scheduled maintenance can be performed on a fixed fee basis as well.
